Experience In-Home Autism Therapy

Our in-home services are behavioral programs developed from the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). These ABA programs are intended to improve:

Social skills
Academic skills and learning
Communication
Self-help
Functional living skills

These services are provided in your home, allowing a certified behavior therapist to work 1:1 with your child in an environment that is comfortable and familiar. As an added benefit, autism home support services allow the behavior therapist to include you and any other family members in the treatment sessions. This helps to further a child’s success, as behavioral principles from the programs can then be applied to everyday life.

In-home ABA therapy at home mirrors the services provided at the Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning. Treatment sessions are set up and organized as they would be at the learning center. These sessions focus on the areas listed above, working with you and your child to ensure an individualized approach.

In addition to working on communication, social skills, play, etc., since these sessions offer a 1:1 model, the in-home therapist can also address any specific challenges, problem behaviors, or concerns that are inhibiting the growth and development of your child.

Our autism therapeutic services allows children to engage in the same projects and activities that they would participate in at our clinic. However, since treatment is individualized, the behavior therapist can provide more intensive support, encouraging your child to develop and acquire new skills — all while strengthening any ongoing skills.
