School Food Services Assistance

In situations where a National Emergency is declared, the Emergency Food Service sponsored by the Summer Feeding Program is made available to all children. Children can enjoy breakfast and lunches at no charge through the programs mentioned above. This is a federally funded nutrition program open to all individuals 1-18 years of age. No applications are necessary to participate.

We are committed to continuing to provide breakfast and lunch for all children, ages 0-18, during the school dismissal. We will provide “grab and go” meals every weekday, starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Breakfast will be served daily from 8:30 – 9:30 am. Lunch will be served from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. 

Meals will be provided to ALL children, ages 0-18, regardless of school enrollment. This will be similar to our summer lunch program. Children may receive one breakfast and one lunch per day.

Meal service will begin Monday, March 16, 2020, and will continue through March 27, 2020. The Program makes sure all children can eat healthy food during a National Emergency and school is dismissed. Each site will be offering ‘grab and go’ meals via a drive up and walk-in type meal service, especially in the case of inclement weather. Meals can be picked up at the following locations and times:

  • Lunch Meals will be available 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at all school locations, except for Hunter High School due to its recent closure.
  • Breakfast Meals will be available from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. for the following participating locations:

Breakfast and Lunch Will Continue to be Available for Pick Up Only Starting Wednesday, March 18

  • A breakfast to-go will be available (at schools which currently serve breakfast) from 7:30 – 9 a.m.
  • Schools will remain open for students to pick up lunch to-go from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Students must return home after receiving their meal.
