The Pingree Community Preschool (CP) & Child Care program strives to provide an outstanding, inclusive early childhood experience for children with and without special needs.
CP is an innovative preschool child care model that utilizes the practice of inclusion; integrating typically developing children with children exhibiting developmental disabilities. The community preschool is part of the Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning.
Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) are guidelines set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for quality early childhood programs. Decisions about our program, curriculum, teacher/child interaction, child to teacher ratios, and parent/school collaboration are based on what is known about child development, what is known about the individual children in the class, and what is known about society and the culture in which the children are involved.

Pingree Community Preschool Program enrolls children from ages 2 months to 5 years.
Pingree offers up to four days of childcare a week. We are closed on Fridays.
